{"id":17,"date":"2020-07-07T18:39:14","date_gmt":"2020-07-07T18:39:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bpind.org\/?page_id=17"},"modified":"2020-07-14T19:14:07","modified_gmt":"2020-07-14T19:14:07","slug":"accomplishments","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/bpind.org\/?page_id=17","title":{"rendered":"Accomplishments"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Established a 501 (C) (6) non-profit organization July 2012<br> Extended membership to more than 120 businesses in the Industrial Park<br> Current membership is 40 businesses<br> Established a website (www.bpind.org) with Mission Statement, Current &amp; Past Events, Meeting minutes, History of the park, Business of the Month, Map and Directory, more<br> Elected officers<br> Hold Monthly meetings \u2013 many with speakers including Economic Development South; West Penn Power Co.: Business Law Legal team \u2013Jackson\/Lewis: Health care professionals: Elected public officials \u2013 mayor, police chief, Bethel Park council and more: EMS speakers including St. Clair Hospital rep.<br> Established a welcoming relationship with BP council and officials<br> Delivered business contact info for each address in the park to police, fire and ems &amp; updated in 2019<br> Held numerous paper shredding events and electronics recycling events<br> Resolved electric outage issues within the park with local power company<br> Meeting with zoning and council to begin a park overlay \u2013 changing codes<br> Formed a relationship with Economic Development South (Greg Jones) to help with zoning changes and other helpful ideas for park improvement<br> Established a representative from the Industrial Park to the BP Chamber of Commerce<br> Presented a letter to BP regarding the negativity and inefficiency of the bldg. inspection department.
